From a single bay to a 4,800 sq ft studio.
I opened Momentum in the fall of 2012 with one HEPA-filtered bay, a borrowed extractor, and a dual-action polisher I'd saved up six months to buy. Before that I spent almost a decade as the in-house detailer for a luxury dealership in River Oaks, where I learned the hard way that volume kills finish quality.
Today we're still a small team — me, my brother-in-law Ray (paint correction lead), Maria (interior specialist) and two installers who handle ceramic and PPF. We cap the schedule at four vehicles a day on purpose. If a car needs another hour, it gets another hour.
We work on everything: daily Civics, weekend Corvettes, F-150 work trucks, the occasional Ferrari, plenty of boats from Clear Lake, and a fair number of Goldwings. If it has paint and wheels, we've probably wiped it down.
